Butler graduate and Butler BlueSox right fielder
Cody Herald helped lead the Seton Hill Griffons to their first-ever appearance
in the Division II baseball World Series this year.
Herald led the Griffins with a .346 batting
average this season. Cody also led the team with 66 hits, 43 runs scored, 16
doubles and 2 triples. Herald was 20-27 in stolen bases and committed just one
error in 113 chances in the outfield. He also added 4 homers six doubles and two
triples and drove in 30 runs.
After
the season, the accolades continue to roll in. Herald was named first-team
All-ECAC. He was one of five Griffons picked, but the only one picked for the
first team.
