WARRENDALE — Being opportunistic allowed the

had the opportunity to step up and get on an odd-man rush.”
Gilliland’s goal came after
Playing with an empty net, Jack Drury scored an equalizer for the Rams
which snuck over the goal line.
“We ran around way too much,”
“Sometimes we pinch when we shouldn’t,” Rams coach Ryan Tessmer said. “We had defensemen pinching and they took
advantage of it.”
Andrew Rossi and Antonio Binotto scored the
next two goals to give Pine-Richland a 2-1 lead in the second period.
“We had to get back in our spots and know where we are supposed to be,”
Gilliland said.
Ryan Rebmann tied the game by poking the puck
free in the neutral zone and flipped a puck on net while colliding with
defender Kyle Whittingham.
Rebmann ended up sliding on the ice into the boards
and the puck ended up in the net.
“I just had to put it on net,” Rebmann said.
“I just wanted to get the puck as quick as I could and put it on net.”
Gross then tracked a puck down behind the net and went five-hole to put
Binotto tied the game with a power-play goal.
“We played our game, we were focused and did everything we could in our
power to win this game,” Rebmann said.
“One of the things we talked about carrying over from last game is a
complete team effort and making sure we were doing it the right way within our
structure,”
