Butler baseball rolls on

Cooper Baxter and James Desmond combined to strike out 11 as Butler’s baseball team remained unbeaten with a 7-2 win at Taylor Allderdice.

Ethan Trettel led the Golden Tornado’s six-hit attack with a double, single, two RBI and two runs scored. Kyle Yost had a double and scored two runs while Connor McTighe also doubled.

Desmond worked the final four innings to get the win. He struck out seven and walked one. Taylor Allderdice managed only two hits.

The Golden Tornado improved to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in section play.
